Support Centre

Our assistance to young people encountering employment barriers focuses on meeting both immediate needs and long-term goals through our customised iWork program. This initiative provides work experience, skills development, and job readiness training and qualifications, alongside mentorship and internships to build skills and confidence. Essential personalized support, including career counselling and overcoming specific challenges, is also offered.

By creating inclusive opportunities and supportive environments, such as our reuse hub, we help these young individuals gain valuable work experience and achieve lasting employment.

iWork – Employment Ready Courses

Kieran

Kieran started with PUSH over five years ago through a work placement from Rathbone Training. His dedication earned him a permanent role as a warehouse assistant. Despite dyslexia and dyspraxia, he achieved an ASDAN Employability Award and an SVQ in warehousing. Kieran values the training and support from PUSH, which helped him gain confidence, live independently, and care for his younger brother.

Mathew

Referred to PUSH by Project Scotland, Matthew quickly impressed with his ability to learn, take on responsibilities, and engage with the team. His dedication led to a job offer as a PAT tester through Community Jobs Scotland. After completing Portable Appliance Testing training, Matthew has successfully managed the PAT testing area at PUSH for the past four years.

Vanessa

Vanessa has transitioned from receiving support from PUSH to being a paid support worker for our iWork trainees. Her own experiences have greatly enriched her ability to assist others, making her a highly skilled and empathetic support worker.
